Born into the design world, her mother an interior designer and father a builder, unsurprisingly, design is always a favourite topic of conversation around the dining table with Hannah and her parents, much to the annoyance of her husband and daughter.
Since obtaining an architectural degree in Auckland, New Zealand in 2006, professional ARB qualification at UCL, London in 2011 and working in architectural practices in both Auckland and London, there has been no looking back. For over a decade, Hannah continues to be the lead architect for a well respected construction company in Fulham. Wishing to challenge herself further, Hannah set up HVW Architects - an architectural practice focused on local projects, in and around St Margarets, Twickenham. The transformation of her own homes in 2015 and 2020 is exemplary of her style: fresh, calm, understated and contemporary.

It fascinates me how every family is different. I love creating a home that works for you, some people need spaces to escape the buzz of family life, others prioritise entertainment space with big open spaces, and more recently the need to have a dedicated space to work from home has become a high priority for many. It is a pleasure creating spaces that can adapt to these needs, whilst ensuring the architectural bones remain true to the integrity and character of the house”
